The Titanic Experience

Titanic Belfast extends over nine interactive galleries, with multiple dimensions to the exhibition, drawing together special effects, dark rides, full-scale reconstructions and innovative interactive features. Explore the shipyard, travel to the depths of the ocean and uncover the true legend of Titanic, in the city where it all began.

The Discovery Tour

Explore the symbolism of Titanic Belfast’s iconic building with our award-winning walking tour.

The one-hour Discovery Tour explores the history of the famous barrel-vaulted Harland & Wolff Drawing Offices where Titanic and the rest of the mighty ‘Olympic’ class ships were designed, and provides an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of the men who built Titanic – the world’s most famous ship – in Belfast’s historic shipyard.

Hear fascinating facts about the great ship from your personal walking guide, and marvel at the maritime metaphors hidden within the architectural design of Titanic Belfast.

Slipways and Plaza

Titanic Belfast stands at the head of the historic slipways where Titanic and Olympic were built and from where these famous ships were first launched into the water.

Walk down the very slipway where Titanic was constructed and explore a life size plan of Titanic’s Promenade Deck which is inlaid in white stone.

Discover the positions of the liner’s lifeboats and funnels and have a seat at one of the benches positioned exactly as they would have been on board the deck of Titanic.

In addition, track Titanic’s journey on the map on the outdoor plaza where light tiles represent the sea and the dark tiles represent the land. A track follows the cities linked to Titanic’s story from Belfast across the Atlantic to New York and at night this track is lit in LED lights.

SS Nomadic

Berthed next to Titanic Belfast in the historic Hamilton Dry Dock is SS Nomadic – tender to RMS Titanic and the last remaining White Star Line ship in the world.

Restored to her original 1911 glory and back home in Belfast, a visit to SS Nomadic & Hamilton Dock combines the authentic heritage and atmosphere of this historic ship with the intriguing stories of her passengers and the ups and downs of her dramatic career.
