You then will check into your 4-star hotel before spending the evening exploring Belfast City, with its distinct history, you too can take this chance to enjoy a black taxi tour or visit the Titanic Exhibition.
Enjoy an ‘Ulster Fry’ for breakfast in your 4-star hotel before heading by coach along the spectacular Antrim coast. Your journey includes stops at the picturesque village of Carrickfergus, the fishing village of Carnlough, where you stop for about 15 minutes and the coastal villages of Glenariff, Cushendall and Cushendun. There are stunning views all along the Antrim coast with the mountains and the Glens of Antrim completing the picture. Scotland is clearly visible on sunny days and the Mull of Kintyre makes for an impressive backdrop is this special scenery.
The next main stop on the agenda is the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, this famous landmark is somewhat daunting, but the views from the far side more than make the crossing worthwhile. A picture perfect location the bridge was first built by fishermen in 1755, but not to worry-it’s been upgraded since. From one postcard to the next, the coach tour moves on to Dunluce Castle, the famous location of House of Greyjoy in the TV Series, Game of Thrones, for a photo stop.
Irish Railtours Ireland take a 2-hour break at the world famous Giant’s Causeway. Sometimes referred to as the eighth wonder of the world, the causeway has inspired ancient folklore, baffled and amazed geologists and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 40,000 interlocking hexagon blocks are the result of an ancient volcanic eruption, but the local folklore attributes them to Finn MacCool, a mythical figure from per-Christian Ireland.
You return to Belfast via the main road and your day tour ends with the return journey from Belfast to Dublin. You can choose to either return to Dublin via rail or spend the night and return the following day with your open-ended return rail ticket.
