The Tour arrives at the Cliff of Moher at 11.00am. A visit to Ireland isn’t complete without taking in the Cliffs of Moher, a wonder of the natural world and one of the more magical places on the emerald isle. The Cliffs are Ireland’s most visited natural attraction, with over 1 million people making their way west to see the view from ‘The Edge of the World’ every year.
Rising to over 214m (702 feet) The Cliffs of Moher span 8 kilometres (5 miles) of Ireland’s magical Wild Atlantic Way. On a clear day The views include the famous Aran Islands and Galway Bay. The Cliffs of Moher visitor centre provides an enriching historical and geological context to the cliff and their place in Ireland’s past.
The tour stops in the picturesque village of Doolin for lunch. Extreme Ireland usually go to Fitzpatrick’s pub where the seafood is particularly good – the seafood chowder is highly recommended- *Lunch in not included in the ticket price.
The Drive North from The Cliffs of Moher takes in part of the Wild Atlantic Way and some of the most specular scenery in Ireland. Trek through the Burren, with it’s famed lunar like landscape. The Burren is a national park and the word ‘Burren’ comes from the Irish Language, it means ‘rocky place’.
Before heading back to Dublin, the tour makes a final photo stop in Dunguaire castle. Enjoy the scenery of Galway Bay and say good bye to the west coast as we start the return journey to Dublin, where we will arrive no later than 7:45 pm.
