During this Italian walking tour, your guide will help you to discover the history and the culture of Dublin. The entire history of Dublin will be covered from the beginning when St. Patrick arrived to evangelize to the pagans, to the Celtic Tiger years between 2000 and 2007, all the way through to the present day. The walk will start everyday at 14:00 from Trinity College (outside the main gate in College Green), where you will begin to familiarize yourself with the history of the people and culture. Discover the legend of Molly Malone followed by a trip to Dublin Castle, where the history of Dublin will begin. In just a few meters up the street, you will then find the great St. Patrick’s Cathedral followed by the most ancient cathedral in the city, Christ Church Cathedral. The walk will continue to Temple Bar, a bohemian district and also the most fun place in town. Crossing the Liffey Bridge known locally and around the world as the Ha’penny Bridge, your guide will accompany you through the streets of the north side of Dublin. This section of the tour will include some of the most significant spots in Irish history such as the Spire and General Post Office.
