Term & Conditions

Application

These conditions apply whether a contract has been made verbally or in writing.

Payment

Payment in full must be made before embarking on a tour, unless otherwise agreed by the company.  The company reserve the right to refuse any pre-paid passenger who does not supply the relevant documentation/voucher to confirm their payment.  All children must be accompanied by an adult: as such no child ticket can be issued independently.  All tour reservations are subject to availability.

Group Bookings

The purchaser acts on behalf of all passengers travelling on the vehicle.  If they do not intend to travel a representative must be chosen, and the tour company informed prior to embarking on a tour. If the purchaser is a company, group or partnership, an individual must be named as a responsible person. In the event of a cancellation, cancellation charges will automatically be sanctioned.  Where a copy of these or any other conditions have been given to the purchaser at any time, or advised verbally of all the significant terms, making a booking will be deemed to signify acceptance of them.

Departure

Departure times, locations and tour black-out dates are subject to change.  Customers are requested to confirm their reservation one week before travel.

Cancellation Policy

Our Cancellation policies may be applied in conjunction to any third party cancellation policy.

Additional penalties may be applied by the digression of individual tour providers or lovelreland.com.

We have provided cancellation policies for several but not all of our tour providers, please contact the provider directly if you have any questions or concerns about their policy.

loveireland.com is not liable or responsible for third party cancellation policies.

Extended Packages eg. Ring of Kerry Tours:

All package tour (eg All Railtours and tours with one or more overnights) cancellations are subject to an immediate administrative service charge of €50.00 per booking.  Applications to waiver this charge will only be considered if the application is made to loveireland.com in writing, and is accompanied by a medical certificate.

Extended Package Tours:

Outside 7 days prior to date of travel – €50 admin charge applies

Within 7 days prior to date of travel – 50% charge

Within 5 days prior to date of travel – 75% charge

Within 48 hours or ‘No-show’ to date of travel – 100% charge

Gray Line Ireland Tours

Newgrange & Hill of Tara Tour:

Owing to restricted seat availability on the Newgrange & Hill of Tara Tour final confirmation of numbers is required no later than 14 days prior to departure. Cancellations made within 14 days prior to date of travel will not be refundable.  Applications to waiver this charge will only be considered if the application is made to the Dualway Group in writing, and is accompanied by a medical certificate.

 

All Other Gray Line Ireland Tours:

Outside 14 day prior to travel – 100% refund less a €5.00 admin/ bank fee charge

Within 14 day or ‘No-show’ to date of travel – 100% charge

The charge is in relation to the total ticket price

Private Day Tour/ Coach Hire Cancellations:

All coach hire cancellations must be received in writing no less than 7 days prior to the date of hire.  A 15% administration fee will automatically apply to any cancellation.

Extreme Ireland Tours

  1. For extended tours, cancellation of your booking must be in writing or by email to Extreme Event Ireland. When written notification has been received by Extreme Event Ireland a fee of €€25 will be levied to cover administration costs.
  2. You are entitled to a full refund only if you give us 14 days notice of your intention to cancel.
  3. You are entitled to a 50% refund if you give us 7 days notice of your intention to cancel.
  4. If you choose to cancel 7 days before the start of your tour, no refunds will be granted. You can choose to change your tour departure to another date (subject to availability). Permission to do these 48 hours before departure is subject to a €25 euro fee and is entirely at the discretion of the Extreme Event Ireland Management.
  5. If the reason for your cancellation is covered under your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim under that policy.

Railtours First Class

All package tour (with one or more overnights) cancellations are subject to an immediate administrative service charge of €50.00 per booking. Applications to waiver this charge will only be considered if the application is made in writing, and is accompanied by a medical certificate.

Extended Package Tours:

Outside 7 days prior to date of travel – €50 admin charge applies

Within 7 days prior to date of travel – 50% charge

Within 5 days prior to date of travel – 75% charge

Paddywagon Tours

  1. Cancellation of your booking must be in writing or by email to Paddywagon Tours (info@paddywagontours.com). When written notification has been received by Paddywagon Tours a fee of £30 pounds will be levied to cover administration costs.
  2. You are entitled to a full refund only if you give us 28 days notice of your intention to cancel.
  3. If you choose to cancel within 28 days before the start of your tour, no refunds will be granted. You can choose to change your tour departure to another date (subject to availability). Permission to do this up to 48 hours before departure is subject to a £30 pounds fee and is entirely at the discretion of the Paddywagon Management.
  4. If the reason for your cancellation is covered under your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim under that policy.
  5. In the case if a private group booking or a private bus hire we would require 6 weeks notice of cancellation and a £300 administration fee.
  6. Tours already booked can not be cancelled and rebooked where special offers are made available. This applies to all trade shows and any other special offers that may be available.

Cancellation by the Company

In the event of an emergency, riot, civil commotion, strike, lock out stoppage or restraint of labour or on the happening of any event over which the company has no control (including adverse weather and road conditions) or where three or less passengers are travelling the company may, by returning all money paid and without further or other liability, cancel the contract.

Breakdowns and Delays

The company gives its advice on journey time in good faith. However, as a result of breakdown or traffic congestion, or other events beyond the reasonable control of the company, journeys may take longer than predicted and in those circumstances the company will not be liable for any loss or inconvenience suffered by the hirer as a result.

Route and Vehicle

The company reserves the right to substitute vehicles (including those of other operators) or ancillary facilities.  The route used will be at the discretion of the company.

Passenger’s Property

All vehicles are subject to restrictions on carrying luggage for statutory safety reasons. The hirer accepts that the driver shall be the sole judge as to whether and what extent passengers’ property is carried. Large bulky items may not be able to be carried, and all steps should be taken to notify the company in advance of such requirements.  The company will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen luggage/personal belongings.

Food and Beverage

Food or drink (including alcoholic beverages) may not be consumed on the vehicle without prior written consent from the company.

Conduct of Passengers

The driver is responsible for the safety of the vehicle at all times, and as such may remove any passenger whose behaviour prejudices safety or is in breach of the Public Service Vehicle.

Refunds

Customers are entitled to a full refund in the event that the company cancels a tour.  All other refunds are at the discretion of the company.  Customers are not entitled to a refund or partial refund to avail of a special offer.

Complaints

In the event of a complaint about the company’s services, the hirer should endeavour to seek a solution at the time by seeking assistance from the driver or from the company. If this has not provided a remedy, complaints should be submitted in writing within 14 days of the termination date of the hire.
