Pyke ‘N’ Pommes(PNPs) opened in Derry/Londonderry in 2013, but their story began long before. Following more than twenty years perfecting his craft in some of the world’s finest kitchens, Kevin Pyke (founder) returned home to Northern Ireland with a fresh understanding of what food could be. From the most humble beginnings in an adapted van situated by the River Foyle, the result is ambitious and authentic street food, prepared by hand each day using only the freshest ingredients.
In 2015, they refitted an old and beat-up shipping container into a fully equipped street food kitchen and took up permanent residence on the riverfront. The new eatery, POD, was soon joined by Decky (their carefully converted double-decker bus with heating, tunes and comfortable seating for 60) in 2018, bringing the total seating available at POD to 100.
Pyke ‘N’ Pommes is now an internationally-acclaimed, award-winning street food eatery combining a passion for both flavour.
